The Rule of Law
The rule of law is set of principles for ensuring an orderly and just society. It was established in England by the Magna Carta in 1215 and adopted by the Founding Fathers of the United States. The core principles include limits on state power (the concept that no one is above the law), protection for fundamental rights, and judicial independence.
By ignoring established precedent, the current Court is putting itself above the law, thus failing to follow the rule of law.
